PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE: Integrated Care and Support Service within Extra Care Housing Schemes in Somerset THIS RELATES TO A PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE. THIS IS NOT AT THIS STAGE A CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY. **IMPOTANT UPDATE - Please note that the Market Engagement Event scheduled for 17th December 2015 is now CANCELLED. It is anticipated that a Pre-Tender Event will be held in January 2016 instead** Somerset County Council (SCC) is seeking interest from organisations that would like to provide an integrated Care and Support Service across 22 Extra Care Housing Schemes in Somerset and is intending to run a procurement process from early 2016. This includes the provision of a 24 hour 7 days a week support service with the capacity to deliver incidental care in an emergency at any time to all Extra Care Housing tenants. The integrated team will also have the capacity to provide packages of care for those with assessed needs. Currently there is a population of around 720 mostly single person households, of which approximately 40% receive an assessed care package from Adult Social Care in Somerset.
