THIS RELATES TO A PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE. THIS IS NOT AT THIS STAGE A CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY. PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE: Care and Support at Home Services in Somerset Somerset County Council (SCC) is seeking interest from organisations that would like to provide Care and Support at Home services in Somerset and is intending to run a procurement process from early 2016. This includes reablement, longer term care and support, sitting and night services for Older People and those with physical or mental impairment or illness. Home care support for learning disability services and scheme-based extra care housing will be excluded. In 2013/14 1.08 million hours of home care were delivered to 6,725 clients in Somerset. Market Engagement Event – 17th December 2015 SCC is holding a market engagement event on 17th December 2015 and is inviting organisations that might consider taking part in this process. It is hoped that the event will enable a useful dialogue between SCC and any interested organisations on potential models for delivery and aspects of the service specification prior to the intended launch of the Procurement process in early 2016. Due to the venue size, we ask that no more than two representatives attend from each organisation. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by the Council to undertake a procurement procedure.
