Tender description

The proposed digital and real-time PCR systems and two thermocyclers will be used within the Newcastle University Single Cell Functional Genomics Unit (NUSCU), a faculty wide facility based within the FMS, fulfilling a central role in single cell research as well as a wider role as a core facility platform. This equipment will be used to validate discoveries from next-generation sequencing experiments as well as for biomarker discovery / screening in cases that necessitate reporting of e.g. absolute quantification of rare alleles or precise copy number variation.
