Tender description

Sefton Council is looking for a suitable supplier to supply and erect approximately 30 lin m timber fencing and gates to the compound area of the Botanic Gardens in Southport (as per attached drawing). Specification All timber to be tantalised softwood and erected to height of approx. 1.2m. All 150mm x 150mm posts with weathered top to be set in 400cumm C20 concrete. Rails to be 150 x 50 and secured to posts with min 2no. 100mm Galvanised nails per rail per post. 3no standard double gates:- Each leaf approx. 0.9m width. 1 pair of gates consisting of 1no 3.3m (approx. width) 5 Bar field gate (with gate support wheel) 1no 0.9m (approx. width) side gate. All gates to include appropriate gate furniture, heavy duty fixings, hinges, lockable latches, receivers and all to be galvanised. Note that existing ground is compacted stone on hardcore on sand. All residual arisings from excavations to be removed off site to contractors tip. Start date to be approximately 18th January 2016. Keywords: Fencing
