Tender description

The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering for a Hydraulic Ring main system. The closing date for return of tenders is Thursday 28th January 2016 at 12 noon (UK time). We are creating a new facility for the Heavy Structures Laboratory to enable us to execute multiple tests simultaneously. Six (6) hydraulic isolation manifolds will be placed in the laboratory at specified points and connected to the following existing equipment: • a 3 loop portal frame system (3off) the 3 isolation manifolds will have flexible hoses that connect to 3 actuators, 1 in each hoop. • A 1000 kN test frame (1 off). • A single hoop reaction frame (1off) • A 3 axis testing machine (1 off). The 3 axis testing frame will need a modification to its existing hydraulic supply to enable it to be switched from its own stand-alone power unit to the ring main. This tender is for the Hydraulic Ring main only, including installation, testing, commissioning, warranty and service for 3 or more years.
