Supply of Airport Services by BAA Investigation

Tender description

1. The CMA intends to commence an evaluation of the impact of the decisions of the Competition Commission’s (CC) 2009 BAA airports market investigation. 2. This research and evaluation will be carried out jointly between the CMA’s evaluation team (situated within the Office of the Chief Economist Advisor) and the remedies, business and financial analysis team (RBFA). 3. The study will consider the evidence available relating to the impact, proportionality and effectiveness of the remedies and the remedies implementation process and identify lessons learnt from this market investigation. We are seeking consultancy support mainly in identifying and, where possible, quantifying the impact, especially in terms of consumer benefit. Research, analytical modelling and stakeholder engagement will feature strongly throughout the evaluation.
