Tender description
Funding has been awarded to 3 Councils (Tendring District Council, Colchester Borough Council and Ipswich Borough Council) to help tackle the problems of single homelessness found in each area. The funding is from the government’s Help for Single Homeless fund to which the 3 Councils submitted an application. The funding awarded is to be used over an 18 month period. One element of the funding is to be used to increase the range of accommodation with support that is available in each of the local authority areas. We have already procured a provider to deliver two elements of the project to provide intensive brokerage to single homeless persons and an early intervention service for ex-offenders on release from prison. These services commenced on 1st October this year.
