Market Engagement event for NHS 111 and Out of Hours services for Devon

NHS 111 and Out of hours services for Devon Integrating urgent care services to improve patient care in Devon Northern, Eastern and Western Devon CCG and South Devon and Torbay CCG are jointly procuring an integrated 111 and out of hours service for the population of Devon. Prospective bidders and interested organisations are warmly invited to a pre procurement market engagement event being held on 8th December 2015 in Exeter, Devon. The procurement will seek to appoint either a single provider or lead accountable provider to provide an NHS 111 service, an integrated clinical hub and out of hours treatment centres and visiting services. The procurement process is intended to be an Open Competitive Dialogue with particular emphasis being placed on the development of the clinical hub through the dialogue stages. The contract value for five years is circa £80 million, and the service commencement date is 1st October 2016. We would welcome attendance from those who may be interested in bidding for the service. It will be an opportunity to meet with the commissioners and hear more about the procurement process itself which is planned to commence on the 15th December 2015 , but also an opportunity to find out more about Devon , urgent care and the critical issues for the public and commissioners. It is also intended to provide an opportunity for bidders to consider potential partners if considering the lead accountable provider approach. The commissioner’s also welcome input from prospective bidders as an opportunity to share best practice and innovation and also test out assumptions.
