Independent Strategy Adviser - Berkshire Pension Fund

Tender description

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, the administering authority for The Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund (a constituent fund of the Local Government Pension Scheme), wishes to appoint an Independent Strategy Adviser to the Investment Working Group (a sub-group of the Berkshire Pension Fund Panel). The Investment Working Group has regular quarterly meetings which the adviser is expected to attend. In addition there may be ad-hoc meetings of the Group which the adviser may be requested to attend. The adviser is expected to, inter alia: • Present a market report at each regular meeting of the Investment Working Group • Recommend changes to asset allocation as appropriate • Assist Officers in reviewing asset allocation • Assist Officers in reviewing new investment products • Assist Officers in reviewing the performance of the Fund and individual managers. The (services) contract is offered on an initial term of 12 months (to 31 December 2016) extendable at the Council’s option for additional 12 month periods.
