Home and Community Support and Enablement Homecare Service

Tender description

The London Borough of Barnet seeks to procure Home and Community Support and Enablement Homecare services. Home and Community Support provides support for Service Users, their informal carers and families, with day-to-day personal and domestic tasks to enable people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and communities. There are different types of support available depending on the individual's assessed needs. The service provision is for disabled children and young people aged 0-18 and adults over the age of 18. This contract is for a period of 2 years + 1 + 1. The Enablement Homecare service provides personal care and support which is time-limited;up to six weeks; and focuses on enabling Service Users to regain and maintain their independence. The intended outcome of this service includes the prevention of further input from intensive services or the need for longer term services. The Enablement Homecare service is provided for disabled young people who are transitioning to adult services and adults over the age of 18. This contract is for 3 years + 1. The Authority intends to develop 2 lists; a strategic and a secondary approved list of providers for Home and Community Support services, and to appoint a single provider for Enablement Services.
