WP3152A - Development of a Personal Assistant Market in Walsall

Tender description

The Council is looking to commission a provider with local knowledge who can further develop the market and choice in Personal Assistant support for adult social care users and carers and who will update the Council’s current adult PA register held on Walsall’s Community Living Directory – www.wcld.co.uk. The concept of personalisation and the use of direct payments provides the opportunity for people to choose to become employers of their own paid support staff in order to achieve the outcomes of their support plan. Having sufficient numbers of the right people with the right skills, knowledge, values and qualifications to meet the current and future demand for care and support will be crucial to the supply of a high quality workforce. The Council will require this work to be completed within 9 months.
