Sustainability Appraisal Scoping for Marine Management Organisation

Tender description

The Authority is looking for a supplier for the Provision of Sustainability Scoping Appraisal for North East Inshore and Offshore, North West Inshore and Offshore, South West Inshore and Offshore, and South East Inshore Marine Plans. The requirement is to deliver one Sustainability Appraisal scoping report for the remaining Inshore and Offshore Marine Plan Areas, as geographically defined at:http://www.marinemanagement.org.uk/marineplanning/areas/index.htm This work and relevant reporting will: • Be in accordance with the relevant SA legislation and guidance (including the SEA directive and relevant Planning Policy Statements, particularly 12 (local spatial planning) and 1 (sustainable development)) as well as supporting delivery of the UK’s Sustainable Development Strategy; • Include a SEA, in accordance with the SEA directive and practical guidance • Include an Equalities Assessment, in accordance with relevant legislation including the Equality Act 2010 and relevant guidance • Note that the references provided here are not exhaustive and, where appropriate, successor and additional documents / legislation / guidance should be referred to in responding to this specification.
