Project 1404 - Replacement of 2No existing Alimak Lifts with 2 No MRL Passenger Traction Lifts at Pier Hill Lifts

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council requires a fully qualified lift contractor to replace the 2 no existing Alimak lifts, at Pier Hill, with MRL Passenger Traction Lifts. The works will involve: • Bespoke MRL design to maximise lift car size • Robust equipment • High quality equipment suitable for high usage • Energy efficient • Vandal resistant design • Water/damp resistant to suit Semi exposed conditions (IP54 rated) • Includes structural engineering design • Open protocol essential • Established maintenance provision in local area Comprehensive drawings and specifications will be issued to contractors and the works will be carried out under The Institution of Mechanical Engineers/The Institution of Electrical Engineers Model Form of Contracts MF/1(Rev. 5) Contractors must be a member of the LEIA or equivalent. The returned tenders will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 80% price and 20% for quality. Please submit your request to tender no later than 12 noon on 25th November 2015.
