Insurance Broking and Risk Management Consultancy Services

Tender description

The Council wishes to award a contract for Insurance Broking and Risk Management Consultancy Services. In addition you will also be required to provide quotations for the provision of the Service to certain customers, with whom the Council has a Service Level Agreement. These customers are as follows: North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority North York Moors National Park Authority 1. Broking for Core Insurances The Contractor will provide insurance broking and risk management consultancy services (the Service) for the following Core Insurances and associated self-insured claims handling services: 1. Liability 2. Motor 3. Property 4. Personal Accident and Travel 5. Engineering If in the future the successful broker is on the second version of the CCS Framework, it is our intention to issue a contract variation to remove the Services for the Core Insurances and associated self-insured claims handling services from this contract. The Council may at its discretion then direct appoint the successful broker on the framework to undertake the Services via the framework. If in the future the successful broker is not on the second version of the CCS Framework, the successful broker will continue to deliver the Services for the Core Insurances under this contract. 2. 2. Broking for Specialist Insurances The Contractor will provide the Services and negotiate and place Specialist Insurances on behalf of the Council and the Contracting Authorities. Specialist Insurances may include, but are not limited to the following: Medical Malpractice Non-Owned Aviation Terrorism Legal Expenses Fine Arts Insurance 3. Additional Services In addition to the above there are some optional Additional Service requirements outlined in detail in Section 4 - The Specification. The resulting agreement will run between 1st March 2016 and 31st December 2018. The Council will have the power to extend for a further two years at the discretion of the Council and subject to satisfactory performance.
