SO14049; Contract Variation for Evaluation of End of Life (EoL) Social Action Fund

This is a contract variation and extension to the original contract, details of which can be found at the following link: https://data.gov.uk/data/contracts-finder-archive/contract/1721842/ To commission a high impact evaluation of a new initiative, the Social Action End of Life Support Fund; which will invest up to £1 million in projects that use social action to support people at the end of life and their families. The purpose of this evaluation is to robustly assess and build a strong evidence base on the impact of social action models on experience at end of life. The Authority will look to quantify causal impact on the quality of experience by measuring: • Patients’ levels of loneliness, satisfaction with social support and wellbeing; and • Family and/or caregivers levels of stress and anxiety. The Authority is also interested in assessing the impact these programmes have on use of wider health and social care services to inform future investment in social action interventions.
