Tender description

The RSA invites tenders from service providers to conduct: • a review on the feasibility of alternative sanction options and make recommendations, and • a review of the maximum driving times for professional drivers not subject to tachograph rules to determine road collision risk and make recommendations The RSA is tasked with improving safety on Irish roads in order to reduce death and injury resulting from road collisions. The RSA brings together key elements of road safety, including driver education, road safety promotion, driver testing, driver licensing, vehicle standards, research, road haulage enforcement etc. The RSA has a Board which provides the governance for the organisation and specialist advice on its operation. Its headquarters are located in Ballina, Co. Mayo, with an office in Loughrea, Co. Galway and fifty driving test centres at locations around the country.
