Contract for Laboratory Analysis Services for Landfill monitoring (waters)

Tender description

The successful bidder shall provide the necessary pre-labelled sample containers, sample preservatives and shipping containers. The successful bidder shall ensure that all the sample containers are delivered to site at least two working days before the start of the next sampling month. Samples will be collected by Durham County Council Staff. The successful bidder will arrange for the collection of samples from the Council's sites for testing at their designated Laboratory. Sampling will be UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and MCERTS (Monitoring emissions to air, land and water) accredited where specified as such. Where UKAS accreditation(United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is not specified the successful bidder will carry out testing in accordance with the current British or European standard. Where no standard method exists for a test the successful bidder will be required to work to its own documented method in line with appropriate legislation
