The University of Sheffield invited tenders for the supply of Microscopes - two lots for use within the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's National Metals Technology Group at Catcliffe in Rotherham. This was a Mini Competition under the APUC Microscopes & Imaging Equipment BA-LAB046: Lot 1 Compound Microscopes and Lot 3 Stereo and Zoom Microscopes Purchase of equipment as follows: Lot 1: Upright Light Microscope tender available for those accredited under Lot 1 of the Agreement Lot 2: Binocular Microscope tender available for those accredited under Lot 3 of the Agreement Scope of Requirement: The upright light microscope is to be used for micro-scale examination of powders and microstructural analysis of mounted metallographic samples in a research and development environment. The binocular microscope is to be used for macro-scale examination of powders in a research and development environment.
