Tender description

CIE is seeking advisory services from a suitably qualified partner to assist in further commercial development of the portfolio of telecommunications infrastructure held by CIE/IE (Iarnrod Eireann-Irish Rail). The anticipated requirement per annum is unclear at this point. Further information will be provided at ITN stage. CIE is seeking applications from interested parties who have substantial knowledge with respect to the following: 1. Expertise in and knowledge of domestic and international commercial fibre arrangements. 2. Expertise in and knowledge of potential for further commercial exploitation of the fibre asset. 3. Expertise in and knowledge of technical potential or restrictions to further commercial exploitation, including challenges posed by trackside location. 4. Expertise in and knowledge of further GSM commercial development including, where possible, potential collaboration with other infrastructure owners. Although this process is being advertised at EU level it is anticipated that the value will be substantially below EU threshold and as such the remedies directive nor above threshold timescales apply to this process.
