NHS Arden and GEM CSU on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (East) (referred to as the Commissioners) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a Community Dental Services for Essex The Commissioners wish to receive responses to the ITT from suitably qualified and experienced Providers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the range of Services as set out elsewhere in the ITT, in a safe and effective manner. Subject to any conditions specified in the Contract or any tender documents issued in connection with the Procurement, Potential Bidders may bid in partnership with other organisations. The objectives of this project are to commission a Community Dental Services across Essex, delivering a high quality and continuing healthcare services to patients. • To improve access to dental services and the oral health of the target groups. • To be flexible to deliver single treatments and the management of on-going dental care according to the needs of the patient and availability of other local primary care contracts. • To provide care appropriate to the patients situation • To ensure waiting times for assessment and treatment are achieved (as specified below under Referral, Access & Acceptance Criteria). • To provide services that meet Delivering Better Oral Health, NICE guidance and other national and local guidelines as appropriate. • For patients meeting the CDS criteria who are unduly anxious, to follow a pathway of desensitisation that may culminate in sedation or general anaesthetic • To work in collaboration and provide support to other local health and social care systems, for example by engaging with keyworkers and working with referring dentists The Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation will be available from 30 October 2015 via: https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.html.
