Tender description
HRI Racecourses Ltd is seeking suitably qualified suppliers for the supply delivery and installation of Stalls doors for its fours race courses. Please Note: HRI currently has no plans for expenditure beyond the initial contract and provides no guarantee to any future expenditure beyond the initial contract. During the lifetime of the framework should HRI have the requirements for the supply, delivery and installation of stalls doors at any of its four race courses, the conditions outlined in section 1.3 of this document may be engaged. It is emphasised that a framework agreement constitutes no guarantee to purchase a specific quantity of supplies from a particular economic operator The Initial contract Fairyhouse Racecourse is seeking 95 sliding Stable doors to be supplied, delivered and installed at the stable yard facility, Ratoath, Co. Meath. It is planned for installation to be undertaken in July/ August 2015. The stable doors have to be in place by Friday 18th September due to racing on Tuesday 29th September. The following is the minimum requirement of what is required: • 96 Exterior sliding Stall Doors in an open yard. • Safe 50mm Bar Spacing on Grillwork • Fully Welded Construction throughout. • Recycled Plastic or Hardwood infills • All doors and doorjambs must be durable, with secure latches, and free of sharp edges or protrusions. For example, door guides on sliding doors should be rounded and out of the traffic path. • Full-length doors should have less than 3 inches of clearance under them to prevent the horse from getting a hoof or leg stuck. • Door latches and other clasps that can be operated with one hand would be an advantage. • The position door latches must be out of reach of horses that may find pleasure in learning how to operate them. • Doors should allow a horse to hang its head out in to the yard area in order to discourage jumping.
