PH0055 - Integrated Sexual Health Services

Tender description

Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council is commissioning a new sexual health system, one that is coordinated and led by a single lead organisation. The provision of an integrated sexual health service is supported by current accredited training programmes and guidance from relevant professional bodies including FSRH, BASHH, BHIVA, MedFASH, RCOG, SSHA, NICE and relevant national policy and guidance issued by the Department of Health and Public Health England. Providers must assure Commissioners services are delivered in accordance with this evidence base. The lead organisation will be accountable for all aspects of delivery within the system including the individual partner (sub contracted) organisations, ensuring that sexual health promotion/prevention and treatment is delivered in partnership with the Statutory and Third Sector. Essentially the delivery will be high quality, effective and value for money services that conform to recognised national standards and delivered consistently across Walsall. The new sexual health system will empower residents to manage their sexual health and well being through self management. Similarly through active partnerships which reach out to encourage early identification and engagement in particular to the most vulnerable groups to enable them to make informed choices.
