Developing Prior Attainment Reports

Tender description

The purpose of this exercise is to allow direct comparison of the outputs of training programmes after adjusting for the attainment of the trainees entering the programme. We wish to establish which schools are attaining outcomes that are better or worse than those expected on the basis of the prior attainment measures. Variation that cannot be explained by measures of the trainees' performance on entry may be attributable to features of the training programme and therefore require further investigation. The objective of the commission is to produce a statistical model and adjusted progression reports with the associated documentation to allow the GMC to continue the approach.
