Tender description

The M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy Scheme will commence at Clogh, south of Gorey, via a proposed grade separated junction with the existing N11 Gorey to Arklow Link. The proposed route continues south west with a further junction at Ballydawnmore (connecting with the N80 link and the re- routed R744 at Tomnafunshoge), and finishing with an at- grade roundabout in Scurlocksbush on the existing N11 just north of Oilgate village. The main structural feature of this scheme is the crossing of the River Slaney combined with a crossing of the Dublin-Rosslare rail line and the local road L2020 on the N80 link section. There is a further rail structure at Ballygullen over the Dublin-Wexford Railway on the M11 section and a further river crossing of the River Urrin in Bessmount. The 4km Dual Carriageway N80 link commences at the Ballydawnmore junction and takes a westerly direction crossing the Dublin to Rosslare rail line and the Slaney River at Ballynabarny before connecting to the existing N11/N80 junction at Scarawalsh with an at-grade roundabout. The 8km single carriageway N30 western link commences at the N11/N80 junction at Scarawalsh and continues in a south westerly direction to the west of Enniscorthy Town. There is an at-grade roundabout at Milehouse on the existing R702 and the link finishes to the south with a further at-grade roundabout in Templescoby. The extent of the Works that will be included in the "Project Road" may include existing sections of the N11 (and possibly of the N30 and N80 routes) and further details will be provided in the tender documents. (The “Project Road” means the part of the road which is to be undertaken and completed by the PPP Co and which is to be operated and maintained by the PPP Co in accordance with the Operation and Maintenance Requirements (as set out in the PPP Contract), together with any other works, which the PPP Co is responsible for maintaining and operating in accordance with the provisions of the PPP
