Integrated Urgent Care

Tender description

NHS Brent CCG on behalf of the North West London CCGs (the Contracting Authority) will soon commence the procurement(s) of a more closely Integrated Urgent Care service, supported by an Integrated Clinical Advice Service (Clinical Hub) that will assess the needs of people and advise on or access the most appropriate course of action, including: • where clinically appropriate, people who can care for themselves will be provided with information, advice and reassurance to enable self-care; • where possible people will have their problem dealt with over the phone by a suitably qualified clinician; • people requiring further care or advice will be referred to a service that has the appropriate skills and resources to meet their needs; • people facing an emergency will have an ambulance dispatched without delay; and • 999 will continue to provide an emergency service while 111 will take all calls requiring urgent but not emergency care.
