GSV1272-Periodical Subscription Agent Services to the Houses of Parliament - AWARD

Tender description

Both Houses of Parliament require the timely supply of publications via subscription. These publications may be periodicals, journals or magazines. Subscriptions may be for hard copy, electronic/digital or for both formats together. The administration is seeking to appoint a Contractor who will be required to provide a proactive and timely service encompassing all aspects of managing the supply of subscription services including the placement of new subscriptions, supply of missing and back issues and payments to publishers The requirement covers online access to electronic/digital periodicals through the Parliamentary Intranet and access through mobile devices. Online access to a subscription management/administration facility is also required. The periodicals ordered are required to assist Members of both Houses in their Parliamentary duties, or by staff of each House in their work to support Members. The aim of this procurement will be to provide effective access to the full range of subscriptions, while meeting strict service levels and delivering value for money for both Houses. The contract shall be for an initial period of three years, with options to extend to a maximum period of five years. Contract Value: approx. £574k per annum, or £2.87m over the maximum 5 years. This covers the cost of the subscriptions as well as the Contractors services.
