Collection and Disposal of Green Waste

Tender description

The biodegradable garden waste which requires collection and disposal, has arisen from grounds maintenance and the work that is carried out on the boroughs parks and gardens. The waste stream will require collection from a 30.6m³ Ro-Ro skip provided by the contractor, this will have been pre-loaded ready for exchange by the contractor once it is full. Sometimes more than one skip will be required on site. This will be set up as a framework. The top 5 successful contractors will form the framework and be asked to quote for the provision of the service to the Council on an annual basis (except for year 1). The lowest quote will then be fixed for one year and the Contractor will provide the service under the terms and conditions of this framework for that year. The periods are: Year 1 = 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016 Year 2 = 1st January 2017 to 31st December 2017 (new quotes required November 2016) Year 3 = 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2018 (new quotes required November 2017) Year 4 = 1st January 2019 to 31st December 2019 (new quotes required November 2018) Broxtowe Borough Council is looking for contractors who will not only provide the most suitable and cost effective disposal method.
