Tender description
Research work is needed to support industry in defining the detailed functional requirements for the co-existent operation of ETCS and AWS/TPWS when presented to the train driver via the ETCS driver machine interface (DMI). This research has been scoped to include the use of a simulator that can operate under both ETCS and GB conventional signalling systems. The simulator will also need to allow the researchers at RSSB to modify certain information that is displayed on the DMI (similar to rapid prototyping).
