Tender description

A requirement exists for the Council to implement a 3 year replacement programme for approximately 330 new litter bins which will provide the combination of aesthetic features, durability and value for money. The Council will also install new bins where an identified need exists. Tenderers should note that this contract is SUPPLY only and should price accordingly. There will be no requirement for suppliers to price for installation. Galvanised steel is now the preferred option for standardised on street litter bins across Wirral. Wirral Council will standardise with 120 -140 litre mild steel, free standing litter bins which have a common design and specification throughout the industry. During the contract period, the Council may also consider the requirement to install larger on street litter bins with a capacity up to 240 litres.
