Integrated Community Equipment Loans Service (ICELS)

Tender description

Nottinghamshire County Council on behalf of the Nottinghamshire ICELS Partnership is seeking to appoint a suitably experience organisation to deliver the countywide Integrated Community Equipment Loans Service (ICELS). The service aim is to enable Service Users and/or their carers to access a range of equipment and minor adaptations according to assessed need. The service will promote and enable Service Users to continue living independently and in their own homes. ICELS is the mechanism by which Community Equipment is ordered, loaned, delivered and maintained across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. The service will provide annual maintenance and safety checks and make provision for facilities to demonstrate equipment, as well as carrying out minor adaptations works. The service will provide approximately 194,000 items of equipment and complete around 17,000 minor adaptations jobs per year. The Provider is also required to operate an on-line retail service for members of the public to purchase equipment and to provide relevant information regarding community equipment. The service will operate primarily from premises in Bilborough Nottingham and from secondary premises to be located in North Nottinghamshire.
