The Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified organisation for the provision of services to both prevent and manage excess weight in children, young people and adults throughout Bedfordshire. The Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified organisation for the provision of services to both prevent and manage excess weight in children, young people and adults throughout Bedfordshire. The services to be procured fall within Part B of Schedule 3 to the Public Contract Regulations 2006 (the "Regulations") and the Council does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations save those applicable to Part B Services. Bedford Borough Council also on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified service provider to design and deliver a service to support the prevention and management of excess weight for both children and young people aged 5-19 and adults including women who are pregnant and men, across Bedford Borough (BBC) and Central Bedfordshire (CBC). The services will form an integral part of the local excess weight care pathway, with clear referral routes between the two Tiers of the pathway commissioned by public health (Tier 1 and Tier 2) and into the Tiers commissioned by Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (Tier 3 and Tier 4)The Council reserves the right to enter into the whole or part of this contract, both in terms of the scale and scope of the contract.
