Summary of the work Developer to take a maintenance and incremental change role initially covering one service but would also include the other services that fall under Service Optimisation team's responsibility. These are delivered in an Agile manner to the cloud hosted platform. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 2 years Latest start date Thursday 31 August 2017 Who Speclialist Work With The domain stakeholders, delivery manager, working in an agile environment. What Specialists Work On Work Packages include: 1. Acting as the lead developer for a specific service. 2. Incremental development of the service to evolve the service to more closely meet the Technical Design Authority approved technical stack, so follow the road-map. 3. Ensure the service applications meet best practice coding and structural designs. Skills & Experience • Have in-depth experience of Scala programming • In-depth knowledge of modern JavaScript and Node.JS and use of the express JS framework • Have In-depth Knowledge of MySQL or Postgres • In-depth web design and development experience with CSS and SASS • Good knowledge of Docker and Kumbernetes • In depth experience of working in an agile environment, including continuous delivery Nice to Haves • Monitoring with Sysdig • Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) • Familiarity with Drone.10 CI Work Location Fleet Street/Westminster Working Arrangments Typically on-site, with some opportunity to work remotely.
