Based on the approximate site area on the attached plan, and taking into account our understanding of the ground investigation and remediation works completed to date, AECOM would recommend the following ground investigation scope of works: 1. 3 no. cable percussion boreholes to 10 m depth; to enable geotechnical data to be obtained to inform on preliminary foundation options and to facilitate the installation of groundwater monitoring wells; 2. 15-18 windowless sampling dynamic percussive boreholes to between 3 and 4 m depth; to provide sufficient sampling coverage across un-investigated areas of the site; 3. In-situ testing, field screening and subsequent accredited geochemical and geotechnical laboratory testing of soil samples; 4. One monitoring event to include groundwater level measurements, groundwater sample recovery for laboratory testing.
