Tender description

The works involve the stabilisation of parts of a section of cliff, approximately 60m long, fronting the Arthurstown to Ballyhack road, the R683, just west of Arthurstown, Co. Wexford. The cliff toe is in the intertidal zone and subject to wave and tide action and is protected by a masonry wall. Above the level of the masonry wall the cliff consists of overburden overlying rock. The cliff is oversteep in places and it is proposed to stabilise using soil nails and a shotcrete facing. Prior to the works the cliff area must be cleared of vegetation.
