Effective Substance Misuse Targeted Outreach Service

Dorset County Council is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and capable service providers for an Effective Substance Misuse Targeted Outreach service. Dorset County Council, Children's Services directorate is committed to working with young people who are vulnerable and as a result are at greater risk of poorer outcomes. As part of this approach we wish to maintain our focus on working with young people who are at risk of substance misuse and those who are already misusing substances, through providing effective outreach and some brief intervention work where necessary. There will also be some direct work with young people requiring tier 3 support. We are seeking to engage a provider who is able to share skills with those working in universal services in order that issues related to substance misuse and the risk taking behaviour can be dealt with across all sections of service provision in Dorset. This package of work is about supporting young people to change behaviours but it is also about building capacity within the organisations to participate effectively in preventative strategies around risk taking behaviours. The contract will commence from 1st February 2015 and will run for a period of 14 months until 31st March 2016, with the possibility of a further 12 month extension period. The Contract Value is approximately £166,340 per annum and Total Contract Value equating to £360,403.33. <strong>This Tender is being advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union. </strong>
