West Midlands Pension Fund (‘the Fund’), administered by Wolverhampton City Council, provides pension services to more than 275,000 current and former employees of the seven district councils situated in the West Midlands. The Fund invests in a number of different asset classes including equity, fixed interest, emerging market debt, private equity, absolute returns, property, real assets and infrastructure. The Fund is managed on a day to day basis by a combination of in-house investment managers and specialist external fund managers. The Fund is seeking to appoint an experienced investment risk and performance measurement specialist to provide quarterly risk and performance reports for its in-house and externally managed investments at a total Fund, asset class and individual portfolio level. Risk and performance reports will assist the Fund’s investment team in monitoring its in-house and externally managed investments to ensure consistency with stated investment objectives and in managing investment risk.
