Tender description
Luas Cross City will represent the next addition to Dublin’s Luas light railway system. Running from the Luas Green Line terminus at St. Stephen’s Green through the city centre Phibsborough and Cabra to Broombridge the new line will link the Luas Red and Green Lines and will also serve the planned new DIT Campus facility at Grangegorman. The proposed line is 5.6 km in length and will have 13 stops. It will provide interchange with suburban railway services at Broombridge and with city bus services at numerous locations throughout the city centre. RPA is seeking to procure a specialist for the supply of wash-plant equipment. It is RPA’s intention to enter into two agreement with a sole wash-plant specialist. Luas Cross City wash-plant - the first agreement will be for the supply of a tram wash-plant to be housed at the proposed Luas Cross City depot at Broombridge. RPA shall novate the agreement for the supply of the Luas Cross City wash-plant to the Luas Cross City Main Infrastructure Contractor (currently being procured). Retrofit of wash-plant - RPA may exercise a second option in order to retrofit two wash-plant at their Luas depots based at Sandyford and Red Cow. If RPA decide to retrofit either or both wash-plants they will do so within ten (10) years of signing the agreement.
