Life skills for children & young people around healthy eating

Tender description

PHE is inviting proposals that reflect the principles of the core competency framework , will give children and young people the understanding and skills to choose a healthier diet and help to proliferate consistent messages around food and diet in line with the updated evidence base. PHE would particularly welcome proposals that: support teaching best practice and continued professional development for teaching staff at all stages in their career so that they can: • implement the requirements of the national curriculum; • support teachers around current healthy eating messages that incorporate the evidence base; and • support teaching staff to implement a ‘whole school approach’ to food by which we mean integrating food across the school ethos and throughout the curriculum.
