Tender description

The School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds is seeking tenders for an instrument that measures particle size and zeta potential. The system will be used for analysis of a wide range of samples, including organic self-assembled systems (e.g. micelles, vesicles, biomolecular assemblies) and inorganic particulate systems (e.g. gold nanoparticles, quantum dots and calcium carbonate crystals). It is our expectation that the detection system will involve a combination of dynamic light scattering to measure hydrodynamic radius and electrophoretic light scattering to allow measurement of zeta potential, but alternative configurations that can meet the specifications listed below will also be considered.
