Community based support services (and associated accommodation), Northamptonshire – Prior Information Notice (PIN)

Tender description

Northamptonshire County Council is currently considering the way in which it delivers community based care and support services (and associated accommodation) for disabled working age adults (DWAA) and is exploring ways to deliver it more effectively for all parties. The Council suspects that the current provision may lack both sufficient capacity and capability to meet both current and future demand. Therefore, a significant focus on market development and shaping is required. In anticipation of this and the Council’s objective to conduct a procurement process in time for new contract arrangements to be in place as of April 2016, the Council wishes to use this opportunity to gauge prospective interest from providers on a national level who have capacity and capability to provide relevant support services in-county. The outline of our commissioning requirement will be formalised subsequently in a Market Position Statement, and via focused discussions arising from Provider Forum working groups during Q4 2015 for current and prospective providers.
