Bulking Process & Disposal of Co-mingled Dry Recycling & Organic Waste

Tender description

The London Borough of Enfield (the “Council”) seeks bids from waste Providers for a bulking and transportation solution, and co-mingled dry recycling and organic waste processing facility. The current service comprises: weekly co-mingled dry recycling collected in 240 litre wheeled binds (67% of properties) or 140 litre wheeled bins (33% of properties). Weekly combined food and garden waste collected in 240 litre wheeled binds (67% of property). A 7 litre kitchen caddy with a supply of 10 caddy liners was initially offered to resident; this was a one-off arrangement when the service was initially being rolled out, so these containers are no longer being supplied to households. The proposed contract will involve the provision of the following: Co-mingled dry recycling (household and commercial) processing facility; Mixed organic waste processing facility; Separate food waste processing facility; Separate garden waste processing facility.
