1251/LF Astronomical Optics for HiPERCAM

Tender description

The University of Sheffield is out to tender for the manufacture of astronomical optics for HiPERCAM ( a high-speed, five-arm optical CCD camera designed to study astrophysics on fast timescales). HiPERCAM has been funded by the European Research Council Advanced Grant scheme. For the purposes of this procurement our requirements have been divided into 3 lots as follows:- Lot 1 – Lens manufacture: manufacture of the individual lenses. Lot 2 - Lens coating: anti-reflection coating of the individual lenses. Lot 3 - Lens mounting: mounting and alignment of the lenses into six barrels (the collimator barrel and the five re-imaging camera barrels). Detailed design of the mounting of the lenses will be undertaken by the manufacturer. Please note that the University reserves the right to award by separate lot or as multiple lots. This is a non-EU, open procurement procedure.
