Tender description

Iarnród Éireann wishes to seek expressions of interest for the provision of Ultrasonic Rail-Flaw Detection Services and Eddy Current Testing, to detect both internal and rolling contact surface defects, using ultrasonic/eddy current equipment. This equipment will be mounted on a rail vehicle, which can be self propelled or Loco Hauled. Please note the track gauge in Ireland is 1602mm. The services involve the provision of equipment, vehicles, trained operators to test the rail network over two separate campaigns per annum and to analyse/produce/manage the information in an agreed format. The track detection system provided by the Applicant shall be capable of working in live traffic. Systems which are only capable of operating under Track possession will not be considered. Note: A 40 foot flat bed rail wagon if necessary can be supplied by IE to facilitate these services.
