<u>Superimposed Road Markings</u> The works will generally comprise the supplying and laying of screed and sprayed and embossed thermoplastic and paint road markings materials and the fixing of stainless steel non-reflecting road studs to pedestrian crossings at various locations within the geographical boundary of the Wakefield Metropolitan District Council. Removal of all the above items is also included. <u>Reflecting Road Studs</u> The works will generally comprise of supplying and fixing or taking up and refixing or taking up and taking to <b>Tadman Street</b> Highway Depot reflecting road studs and/or components thereof at various locations within the geographical boundary of the Wakefield Metropolitan District Council Works on individual sites, or groups of sites, will normally be issued by Task Order after discussion with Contractors. It is not possible to state how much, if any, work will be made available under this Contract. The Contractor shall operate a Quality System complying with the current edition of Scheme No 7 of the Sector Schemes for Quality Management in Highway Construction - Application of Road Marking Materials & Road Studs to Road Surfaces. The Contractor shall hold and maintain a valid certificate of registration in the above scheme, issued by a UKAS accredited Certification Body. A copy of the current certificate shall be submitted with the tender It is intended that the Contract will run for 2 years with an option to extend a further 2 years (total maximum length 4 years). The schedule of rates shall be amended annually as noted in the relevant Z Clause.
