Provision of a Modern Slavery Network for Greater Manchester

[longdesc] The Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester and Greater Manchester Police invite tenders in respect of the establishment of a Modern Slavery Network for Greater Manchester. Although there are many organisations, operating across the conurbation, with a focus on modern slavery, as well as organisations that are likely to have contact with victims, there is currently no overarching mechanism that brings these agencies together under a Greater Manchester remit. It is envisaged that a Modern Slavery Network for Greater Manchester will provide an opportunity to develop a consistent and coordinated approach to support victims, as well as reducing the opportunities for this criminality to flourish. This represents a new opportunity to develop an approach that is considered to be national good practice. It is a high profile area of business that will require leadership and management by an organisation that has experience of effective partnership working in a complex multi-agency environment. Responses to the tender should include creative and innovative proposals for the development of maintenance of the Modern Slavery network.
