Hotel, restaurant and retail trade services. Beverage-serving services. Cafeteria services. Retail trade services. Restaurant and food-serving services. Canteen and catering services. The Bradford NHS foundation trust wishes to receive expressions of interest from a body interested in managing, fitting out and operating a number of retail and catering outlets under a concession arrangement for 10 years with a possible extension of up to 3 years incrementally. The Trust is developing a new hospital entrance on its main site at the Bradford Royal Infirmary due for completion in the 3rd Quarter 2016. The Trust is looking at the feasibility of a branded coffee outlet, a Branded Convenience store, a Branded Newsagents and an all-day dining offer within this development These replace existing staff and visitor catering facilities currently operated by the trust elsewhere at its Infirmary. The contract also includes the opportunity under a concession to design fit out and/or refurbish a number of other retail and catering (Staff and visitor ) facilities operated by the trust at other locations both at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and its St Luke’s Hospital site in Bradford It is envisaged that qualifying staff currently employed by the Trust in the provision of current services will be covered under the TUPE regulations and transfer to the successful provider. By way of background the Trust serves a population of circa 500,000 from its sites in Bradford which have a combined capacity of 1000 beds, has 5000 staff and an annual budget of approx. £350 million Additionally the Trust treats 33,000 patients per month and has one of the busiest A&E departments in the Country. All the hospital sites are located in pre-dominantly residential areas with St Luke’s having limited catering and retail facilities in its immediate vicinity.
