PP14083 - Transforming Sexual Health Services

Tender description

Under recent changes to the NHS and local government, Wolverhampton City Council's Public Health team is now responsible for commissioning sexual health services in the city, including contraception and sexual health services (CaSH), sexual health promotion, HIV prevention and genitourinary medicine (GUM) services. The new required model for Transforming Sexual Health Services in Wolverhampton has been developed to offer a city-wide' Integrated sexual health system'. This will include integrating GUM and CaSH through a main hub. We would like to offer more routine services, such as contraception and basic screening and treatment for sexual infection in local communities, through better coordinated services, delivered by pharmacies and local organisations. The proposed new system will support individuals making informed, confident choices with a specific focus on vulnerable groups and young people.
