<strong>TENDER FOR GENERALIST LEGAL ADVICE SERVICE</strong> Ealing Council wishes to appoint a provider to deliver a Generalist Legal Advice Service within the borough from 16-11-2015 to 31-03-2019. The total value of the contract is £624.230.00. Tenders are invited from organization's that have experience in the provision of generalist legal advice services. Bidders who have strong local connections and are able to work in partnership with local advice agencies are invited to apply. The Council will consider consortia bids. The key objective of the Generalist Legal Advice Service will be to provide free generalist legal advice service open to all Ealing residents, but specifically focusing on the high need and demand areas of welfare benefits, housing and debt advice and targeted towards meeting the needs of the most vulnerable either through poverty, disability, or cultural/language barriers. The Council will assess the impact of Bidders submissions on the needs of protected groups (as defined in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010) as part of the procurement process. The service will maximise self-help and self-reliance in respect of Ealing residents who can reasonably act on their own initiative on information and advice obtained from the provider. The Generalist Legal Advice Service will provide local communities with advice service that is able to effectively meet local needs from diagnosis and information, advice, casework support, through to referral to specialist advice providers.
