Children's Weight Management Service

Lewisham Council are looking to procure a Children's Weight Management Service for children and young people under/or 16 years of age. The Council seek to commission organisation/s to deliver evidence-based healthy lifestyle services for children and families and to maximise engagement with the services. The overall aim is to achieve long-term improved lifestyles for children and families. The service will consist of the following key components: · A specialist multidisciplinary weight management service. It is expected that this will adopt a family based approach and be delivered by a dietitian, psychologist and physical activity specialist through a bespoke programme of 1:1 and group sessions tailored to the needs of the child and their family. · A range of targeted programmes to support children and their families through community-based interventions. This will include healthy lifestyle programmes for 0-7 years and tailored group-based programmes for 7-16 years. · Training others through delivery of a range of bespoke training sessions, so that those working with children and families are aware of their role in promoting healthy weight.
