WEYMOUTH HARBOUR PONTOONS It is intended to replace a set of remote pontoons near to the North Quay Council Offices, Weymouth Harbour. The current arrangement is essentially 6 concrete sections of 9.1m in length and 1.85m wide connected to 4 in number round metal piles. There are no access bridges to the pontoon. It is intended to replace them with 2.5m wide pontoons of modern construction with the pile guides fitted internal to the pontoons. There are currently no services on the pontoon but the following should be fitted to the replacements: • 2 emergency ladders, 1 at each end • 1 lifering and fire extinguisher pedestal. The project is to supply, deliver and install pontoon equipment onto the existing mooring piles including disposal of the existing sections. We would be happy to receive any suggestions for improvements that might be appropriate whilst we are carrying out this work. All licenses and permissions to complete the work are held.
